Roosevelt Island, a narrow island in the East River of New York City, lies between Manhattan to its west and the borough of Queens to its east. The parks on this island, especially the FDR Four Freedoms Park are beautiful and serene all throughout the year. Autumn is a magical time to visit the island and enjoy fall foliage.

It has been a wonderful autumn for color and it has been terrific that it lasted so long. I warned my family it would probably be all gone by the time we came back from our week in Mexico. Sure enough, trees full of colorful leaves were naked and snow was flying!
I missed you all (Noel plus the "regulars")during my week, but I enjoyed it much, all the same.

:)
